Tourist walking on the Patnem sea beach in Goa.

Patnem sea beach, Goa – Sightseeing and travel

Patnem sea beach is located in South Goa and is about 2.5 kms from Palolem. The entire beach has a very laid-back atmosphere as it not very commercialized. You can find few foreign tourists along with locals chilling out near the beach. It is not very crowded and if you want to get away from the maddening crowd, you can choose to visit this place. Also, it is quite near to the crowded Palolem beach which you can easily reach by foot. The water is clear blue and there are a lot of large rocks and two hillocks by the sea beach. There are several beach huts, shacks and resorts near to the beach where you can easily stay. There are also a few yoga retreats there where you can undertake some training to fit your body and mind. The best time to visit Patnem is from October to March as it gets very hot during summer.

How to reach: You can catch a public bus going to Palolem from Canacona bus stand or Margao. The buses first halt at Patnem and then go to Palolem. Similarly, if you are coming from Palolem, you can get down from the bus at Patnem village.
