The MG Marg street or Mahatma Gandhi Road at Gangtok, Sikkim is located in the centre of the city. It is the main shopping street of Gangtok and is one of the most visited spots in the city. It is only a pedestrian only zone and vehicles are not allowed to enter this road. The road is very picturesque to look at and if you are into photography, you will love it. Furthermore, the entire place looks like an exotic foreign location. The locals and tourists can be seen strolling and lazing around this road and relaxing on one of the many benches laid along the road. There are numerous shops, stores, eateries, pubs, restaurants, tour operators, cafes, bars, colourful buildings etc on both sides of the road. There is also a fountain and a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Unlike other Indian streets, this road is very clean and you can see numerous dustbins along the way. Some of the pictures that I have taken are given below –
