Polem sea beach in Goa.

Polem sea beach, Goa – sightseeing and travel

Polem sea beach is the last beach in Goa and located on the Karnataka border. It is about 22 km from canacona bus stand and takes around 1 hour by public bus. It is quite isolated and barely visited by tourists, as a result it is very neat and tidy. The water is clear blue, the beach is surrounded by hills on both sides and the sand is light-golden in color. When I visited the beach, there were only two or three tourists there. So, if you are looking for some lone time, you can choose to visit this beach. There are few beach side hotels and you can choose to stay there. However, if you are looking for beach side activities like pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping markets, ATM etc, then you will be disappointed as nothing is available there. Also, there are no lifeguards there, so if you go for swimming be careful and do not take unnecessary risk.
How to reach by bus: I stayed in Palolem beach and took a public bus from canacona bus stand. Public buses run from Panaji, Margao or Chaudi to Karwar and they stop at a narrow road leading to Polem sea beach. You have to walk almost 1 km from the bus stand to reach the beach. I missed that narrow road and got down from the bus at Goa – Karnataka, from there I asked people for directions and reached the beach by walking almost 2 kms.
